Hello again guys, now I will tell you about Aceh traditional dance, it is called Rapa’i Geleng from Aceh. Rapai Geleng is an ethnic dance from Aceh, South Aceh region. Rapai Geleng developed by an anonymous in Aceh Selatan. Rapai Dance Arts is one of the art of percussion instruments from Aceh. Rapai(tambourine) is divided to several types of games, one Rapai head that symbolizes the attitude of uniformity in terms of cooperation, unity, and the full solidarity of the community environment. This type of dance is meant for men. Usually playing dance there are 12 men who have been trained. Poem is brought socialization to society on how to live in a society,religious and solidarity upheld. This dance expresses the dynamic community in sung poetry, costume and movement of the basic elements of dance Meuseukat. Dance Rapai head there are 3 rounds:1. Saleum (Salam)2. The story (good story of apostles, prophets, kings, and religious teachings)3. Lani (cover)Rapai name adopted from the name Ripai Syeik the first person to develop the instrumentat this.Poem brought depends on Syahi. Until now it was poetry that made a lot of new but still the function of preaching. Poem is sung dissemination to the public about how social life, religion and solidarity upheld. Costumes worn yellow black combined red beads.

Function

This dance is a function of religious symbols, instilling moral values to the public, and also explains how to live in a social society. Rapai Geleng first developed in 1965 in South Aceh. When the dance was performed at the time of filling the void of time students are saturated after learning. Then, the dance is used as a means of propaganda because it can make the audience appeal very much.

Ranup Lam Puan Dance This traditional dance in aceh, it is called Ranup Lam Puan dance. One of Aceh's life philosophies is upholding high hospitality in welcoming guests. This Life Philosophy is so visible in the Acehnese daily life, even at their art and culture. One of them is through “Ranup Lampuan Dance”. Ranup Lampuan in the Acehnese language means Sirih Dalam Puan or Betel on the tray. Puan is Acehnese typical betel tray. Ranup Lampuan is Acehnese traditional dance which is a symbol of the Acehnese custom in welcoming guests. Guests are usually welcomed with full honors by presenting ranup or betel.Ranup Lampuan is usually danced by female dancers.
